What is a blow-out? When you're newborn poops through their diaper and it leaks all the way through their clothes.

Day 2 we went to pediatrics for a newborn follow up and also met with the lactation consultant.

My newborn woke up the first couple nights of life every 1.5-2 hours to feed

I changed her diaper at every wake (& I learned later that was not necessary!) It actually woke her up more and took me longer to put her back down.

Of course ALWAYS change if there is a poop. She was pooping so much and her skin was so sensitive that I was changing her every time she woke!

I love looking back at the learning curve of being a new mommy.
