The 1720 Villasur expedition was the first large-scale incursion into the area we now call Nebraska. It came to a violent end after a battle with the Pawnee and Otoe.
As the 300th anniversary of the battle approaches, our Nebraska State Archeologist, Rob Bozell, talks about attempts to find the battlesite.
