23 April is Saint George’s Day (in Catalan, Sant Jordi) and also the UNESCO World Book and Copyright Day, when love and literature are celebrated massively throughout Catalonia and, more and more, in many other places around the world.
The exchange of books and roses (#BooksAndRoses) is turning into a worldwide phenomenon, with up to 150 activities organised by volunteers in 50 countries in recent years.
In this video we offer a glimpse in less than two minutes about what Sant Jordi means in term of impact for books and roses sellers. We also offer some data about the events related to the Catalan day of Sant Jordi celebrated all over the world.
