I walk down the HOLLOWAY BANK slope and explain how it used to be far steeper than it was now, Thomas Telford was enlisted to create a an easier gradient to allow pack horses and stage coaches to climb the hill unhindered by the steepness
Thomas Telford created the A41 that stretched from the Birmingham area through West Bromwich and into Wednesbury.
I end the walk on the original Holyhead Road in Wednesbury opposite the now demolished White Horse inn
