Welcome to an FCPX Auto Tracker 2.0 Tutorial from Pixel Film Studios
In this tutorial we’ll be going over how to make quick fixes and adjustments to your track data using the Track Editor.
If your track starts to drift from its target at any point you can easily correct it by applying a few simple keyframes.
To do this, you will first need to find the last frame in the track in which your track was in the correct spot and keyframe it.
To set a keyframe, move over to the right side panel and find the parameter that you want to keyframe.
In this example, we want to set keyframes on the Offset Position X and Position Y parameters.
Click on the diamond icons to set the keyframes.
Once the keyframes have been set, any additional adjustment you make to the position will be automatically keyed on your current frame.
Now, scrub to a frame where the tracker has drifted from the target and simply place it in the correct location.
Keep doing this until you are satisfied with your track.
Then, export your data once ready.
