St. James Parish CMV Enforcement

Описание: On July 23, 2025, Louisiana State Police – Transportation Safety Services (TSS), in coordination with the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office and local partners, conducted a commercial motor vehicle enforcement detail in response to ongoing citizen complaints about commercial motor vehicle traffic in the area. The enforcement operation was held in Paulina and targeted unsafe driving behaviors, load securement issues, and other safety concerns. The detail yielded the following results:
• Inspections: 17
• Vehicle Violations: 35
• Driver Violations: 3
• Weight Violations: 9
• Out-of-Service Violations: 15
• Arrest: 1
• Traffic Citations: 11 (including 2 speeding, 2 improper loads, 2 failure to display a license plate, 1 vehicle registration violation, 1 canceled CDL, 1 improper equipment – fenders and mudguards, 1 red light violation, 1 cover load violation)

We appreciate the partnership and support of Sheriff Claude Louis Jr., the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Gramercy Police Department, who also assisted during this operation. The safety of our roadways remains our top priority. TSS will continue to work with local agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while addressing the concerns of our communities.
