Chipangali is a family-run Wildlife Orphanage for abandoned, injured & rescued animals. Founded in 1973 by Viv and Paddy Wilson and is still run by the Wilson.
Where possible animals are rehabilitated and returned back into the wild. If it’s not safe to release the animal back into their natural habitat, the animal will become a permanent resident at Chipangali. Permanent residents are cared for and kept for educational purposes for our Epic Kids Education program. In the case of endangered species, captive breeding programs may also be undertaken.

We welcome volunteers from all over the world and there is a lot to be done to care for our animals and birds. As a prerequisite, all our volunteers must be familiar with spoken English and love animals.
