This JBL 2421A compression driver is used in the JBL 4430 and 4435 Studio Monitors. After a few decades in service it's a good idea to go through them with a Full Service Teardown/Cleaning/Recharge to make them perform as new again. This particular pair was also outfitted with new Radian 1225-8 diaphragms for a lower distortion, more transparent, less fatiguing listening experience. The JBL aluminum diaphragm for the 2421A is no longer available, and the factory spec replacement is the titanium D8R2425. I describe the Radian 1225-8 diaphragm in the video vs. the JBL 2425 titanium unit.
