How a Council Complaint Inspired Me to Build My Dream Gate #offgridliving #gatebuild #electricgate

When someone complained to the local council about unauthorized building works, I wasn’t expecting to end up building the biggest gate on my property. But here we are, after some talks with the council and taking down the old stairs, I decided to create something strong, secure, and beautiful to protect my home.

Watch as I mix concrete, set big posts, hang heavy gates, and add a unique burnt timber finish that makes the entrance look amazing. I also share how I powered the whole project with a new Jackery Explorer 2000 portable power station, perfect for off-grid living.

I love sharing my life with you all, but I am far from perfect. I make mistakes and on this occasion someone has decided to dob me into the local council for unapproved building works. I think I responded appropriately.
