(13 Apr 2014) Nigel Farage, the leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party, addressed members of France's "Debout la Republique" (Arise the Republic) party in Paris on Sunday.
Farage visited the French capital to help launch the campaign of the right-wing political movement ahead of next month's elections to the European Parliament.
The UKIP leader also rejected claims that his UKIP party was similar to France's far-right Front National Party, saying that it had "too many people entrenched in strong positions who have opinions on other people and other races that say I don't want them to be part of my political family."
Farage, who was introduced on stage by Arise the Republic leader Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, also said he hoped UKIP would cause an "earthquake in British politics" at the European elections on 22 May.
