This was the make or break stage. If I couldn't put more time into Nathan, stage 5 was going to be a blood bath between the two of us. I wanted to go into stage 5 with a cushion and the upper hand.
So about 7 miles in we hit Jon Wert, which is a gnarly flat rock garden and when wet it because very unpredictable. Then add the heart rate up in the 180's and yeah.
After that it was just HANG ON!
