Canada’s Atlantic provinces are changing their immigration priorities under the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) in 2025.
With fewer federal spots available this year, provinces are focusing on specific sectors and occupations:
PEI → Healthcare, construction & manufacturing
Nova Scotia → In-province workers with permits expiring this year, mainly healthcare, social assistance & construction (with some exceptions)
Newfoundland & Labrador → Healthcare, information & communications technology, and aquaculture
New Brunswick → AIP paused for 2025 after reaching its allocation, though PNP streams remain open
