Empire State Express is a classic Delta Blues by the legendary Son House. I had the good fortune of being chosen to play in the orchestra pit ( aka Revival Band ) for Keith Glover's fabulous play, "Revival The Resurrection of Son House". The play, based on the life and times of Son House, premiered at The Geva Theater Center in Rochester, NY , USA in the spring of 2019. The score included some great original songs composed by Billy Thompson and Keith Glover and many of Son's pieces. This is my take on Son's powerful train blues.
