Cornwall Snorkeling and Freediving. Summer sessions over Listry rocks.

Описание: This video is done from snorkelling and Freediving Newquay Bay, Cornwall. Here paying particular attention to Listry rocks. Maximum depth around the 9 meter mark, all done on breath hold and shot almost exclusively on GoPro 11 (2 shots taken from last year on a GoPro 8)

There has been an unusually prolonged flat spell this year and with the absence of surf I have taken the opportunity to highlight some of the local species. It is easy to take for granted what we have here and I hope that this video will help demonstrate that there is a lot to see even locally if given the conditions and time to explore.

Particularly happy to see the John Dory, first spot of one of these. Appears to have been injured if you look carefully at its underside. Some beautiful movement from the Sand Eels Shoaling. Always good to see Bass. The Great White Dorid at 2:25 does have a sea spider crawling over it if you look carefully. First time this year to spot a sea hare on the North Coast. All in all so far it has been a good season. Probably ought to complete a sea search form at some point. Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Any thoughts on species of otherwise please feel free to comment.
