Standing by his earlier allegations related to the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte, Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco on Thursday (March 19) denied being an ally of the vice president.
He also reiterated the claims he made earlier this week that fears over Duterte’s possible presidency are influencing positions in the House prior to the impeachment, as some allegedly involved lawmakers worry she would pursue accountability over massive corruption in flood control projects.
As to whether he is personally aware of supposed bribery among lawmakers to back the impeachment, Tiangco clarified he does not yet have first-hand confirmation, but suggested that the "for later release" (FLR) allocations for district budgets would be an indicator.
