The Sega Genesis known also as the Mega Drive is a 16 bit console from the 4th generation. Released in 1988 the system sold 30 million units world wide. The system is powered by a Motorola 68000 and Zilog Z80 processors. The Z80 was for backwards compatibility with the master system through the use of the Power Base Converter. For memory the system had 64 KB of ram and Vram with 8KB for Audio. The system had the ability to display 512 colors with 61 colors simultaneously on screen.
