LOUISE Rodhouse, 27, from Slough, UK changed her lifestyle in 2020 after finding that she was unable to do the most basic of tasks. Louise weighed 269lbs at her heaviest and lived off a diet of fast food. From a young age, she struggled with her weight, reflecting on her past she told Truly: "As I got older I became more self-conscious of my weight, I always felt like the odd one out in a group of friends." Louise became pregnant with her first son at 19, and she "gained weight very quickly." This impacted her mental health too, "every time I felt bad about myself I would eat, and then I would feel worse," she said. "I was just really down about myself. I had really low self-esteem and low confidence. I felt myself going into this darker and darker place." The catalyst in her journey was her best friend's birthday, where she had purchased a new top for their night out." I bought this outfit, the buttons kept popping open where my belly kept popping through it. That was the moment I thought, I'm not doing this anymore, I deserve to feel good about myself." In total, Louise has now lost 120lbs, she now regularly goes to the gym, lifts weights and has even competed in a bikini competition.
