In this two part series Tony teaches you all the steps and tricks, and reveals the secrets and mastery of the skills that you need to know to professionally cut down and re-instal the factory re-rings, mark, drill and re fit lugs, recut bearing edges, and finish off a drum to give these drums new life and make these drums look like they were made like this in the Pearl factory.
In part one, Tony explores new ways to cut down re-ring drums and trim to fit snugly into the shell ready for glue.
Part two brings it all together: showing you how to glue back in the rings; finish off the bearing edges to factory (without a router table); Tony also shows you how to mark out, drill and fit floor tom mounts to a drum with out templates; and finally we reveal the finished product with audio samples.
