The Nancy Guthrie investigation has no arrest after more than two weeks—and the prosecution's case may already be compromised. The crime scene was reportedly released early. Evidence the FBI allegedly wanted at Quantico was sent to a private Florida lab instead. Of sixteen gloves collected near the home, fifteen were reportedly contamination from the search team itself. Motta explains how each reported failure becomes a defense weapon.
The Anna Kepner case is almost entirely sealed. Anna, 14, died aboard the Carnival Horizon—ruled homicide by mechanical asphyxiation. Her 16-year-old stepbrother appeared in federal court three months later and was released to guardian custody. Motta explains what sealed federal juvenile proceedings actually look like, why the FBI kept the case federal, and what has emerged through custody filings—including the suspect's reported claim that he doesn't remember the night Anna died.
The Kouri Richins trial begins February 23rd. Prosecutors allege she poisoned her husband Eric with fentanyl. But the alleged supplier, Robert Crozier, recanted in October 2025—now claiming he sold OxyContin, not fentanyl. No fentanyl was recovered from the home. The judge excluded evidence that Eric was allegedly abusive. Motta analyzes prosecution vulnerabilities, the devastating Google searches, the "Walk the Dog" letter, and the shadow cast by Kouri's mother Lisa Darden.
