A record of a short visit to this busy junction station in South London.
In this episode we look at Southern services. Currently only the half hourly service from Caterham via Norbury and a rather sporadic service to Beckenham Junction via Crystal Palace are operating off peak. The long distance services on the former LBSCR Portsmouth Line were diverted to run via the Brighton Main Line and Gatwick Airport in 1978.
The Southern services through here are currently all operated by class 455 units.
The Thameslink trains on the Sutton Loop services will be covered in another video.
