Human Rights Monitor, Iran HRM, has reported Iran national security forces has arrested an estimated number of 50,000 protesters during the January 2026 uprising across the country, with tens of thousands of more protesters facing risk of torture, execution and disapperane.
Human Rights Monitor said in its recent report that repression, which began with the use of lethal force and continued through arrests, torture, enforced disappearances.
