In anticipation of Episode VIII The Last Jedi, We're going to be looking back at the prequel trilogy, Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace, Episode II Attack of the Clones and Episode III Revenge of the Sith, to get an idea what would have happened to Qui-Gon Jinn if he did survive the dreaded duel with Darth Maul.

This video is actually a remake of a video I had uploaded to youtube over 8 years ago now! That video was sadly outdated and deserved a more accurate treatment.

His plan in Attack of the Clones consists of killing the Anti-Clone Senator who just happens to be Padmé, so he can overthrow a vote to get the approval of a Clone Army, when this fails, Obi-Wan tracks Padmé's Assassin to the planet of Geonosis to where he is captured, Sidious uses his capture to suggest a rescue as an alternate way to initiate the Clone Army Project (which sounds like the name of an indie band). The only reason this happened was because Jar Jar Binks approved the Army while he was temporary Senator (Yes that's right, Jar Jar started the clone wars) – No, the only reason he's temporary Senator is because Senator Padmé put him in charge (WHY?) while she remains in hiding after her attempted assassination. The Clones go to Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan thus starting The Clone Wars. This was the kick-start to Order 66. Except it wouldn't have happened like this with Qui-Gon Jinn still around.

Meanwhile Count Dooku may have never become a Sith at all, you see Count Dooku is Qui-Gons former master and in-between films, Dooku killed Syphodias, the Jedi Master responsible for creating The Clone Army after a premonition of the events to come, it's always difficult to talk about the plot of this film because sadly all the elements aren't explained in the runtime – anyway, Count Dooku was friends with Syphodias, betrayed him and handed the Clone Army Project (which sounds like an indie band) over to his new master in the works, Palpatine aka Sidious. But with Qui-Gon Jinn still around may have been enough to prevent Count Dooku from turning to the Dark side.

The problem isn't Qui-Gon TAKIN Anakin from Tatooine to avoid all the Skywalker Space-Drama .. it was the problem that Qui-Gon died .. and that does make things a little complicated for him to be Anakin's mentor. You know .. being dead and all ..

This is a problem Anakin has in Episode III, he had a problem with how order was kept and felt Palpatine had more compassion and control then the Jedi as they had from what he started seeing was a limited Jedi code based on his experience with Obi-Wan,Obi-Wan was more uptight and may have suppressed Anakin's feelings to much over the years, but obviously it was more to do with Ani brainwashed and manipulated.
