Approximately 4 months ago, there was pressure on precious metals supply chains and the demand for physical silver and gold was so extreme that people could not buy physical and silver gold. Many tried to buy silver coins such as junk silver/90%silver/constitutional silver, silver eagles, maple leafs, morgan dollars, peace dollars, and junk silver and were unable to buy them. Gold eagles, krugerrands, maple leafs, and pre 33 gold coins were also hard to buy. Local coin shops sold out of physical silver and physical gold. Online bullion dealers required minimum purchase amounts of $299, then $499, and then bullion dealers sold out of silver and gold. Once orders were placed for silver and gold, orders took upwards of two months in some cases to receive physical silver and gold. Is this the beginning of another gold and silver shortage?
