🧠 Losing 200+ Hair Strands Daily? That’s Not Normal.
Losing 10–200 strands of hair per day? Totally normal.
But if you’re seeing 200+ strands — that’s considered Grade 4 hair loss and it’s time to look deeper.
👉🏽 One of the most common patterns I see is the Christmas tree thinning — especially in women with PCOS.
This is often linked to high androgens like Testosterone and DHT.
📉 And yes — even if your lab reports look “normal,” you could still be struggling with androgen-driven hair loss.
Here’s what else to check:
✅ Thyroid function — TSH should ideally be below 2.2 µIU/mL
✅ Vitamin D — Aim for 60 ng/mL or higher for optimal support
If either of these are off, they could be driving your hair issues — even if your hormones look fine on paper.
