Dissolving the Witness: Does Awareness Cause Experience? (Direct Path)

Описание: In this experiment from Greg Goode’s The Direct Path: A User Guide, we continue the “Witness” section by thinning out the opaque witness—the subtle sense that awareness is behind experience, quietly running the show.

Having already seen that there’s nothing outside awareness, it can be tempting to place a new “mechanism” inside awareness:
that awareness causes arisings… creates thoughts… manufactures experience.

So in this video we test that assumption directly:

Can you find a cause for an arising in your immediate experience?
Is awareness actually doing something to produce thoughts and perceptions?
Can you predict (or create) your next thought—right now?
And if you do find a cause… is it anything more than another arising?

I also use a couple of classic analogies (like the cinema screen and the rope/snake mistake) to frame the inquiry—without sliding into fatalism or “nothing matters” thinking.
