In this video Corin works on a customers rock planting of Hinoki cypress bonsai. This is a unique composition and we wanted to share with you the steps taken to maintain a rock planting.
The rock is sitting in a lovely Japanese bonsai pot but it has a small crack running down the side so the owner has asked for the rock planting to be transferred into a new container.
After trimming the individual trees and ferns the rock is removed from the old pot and fixed into its new one. Corin then applies keto peat muck and moss to provide the trees with some growing room and structure.
