Broadway director/choreographer Bob Fosse made his screen directorial debut with this adaptation of the 1966 Broadway musical (based on Federico Fellini's "Nights of Cabiria" which won Fosse a Tony Award for his choreography. The film stars Shirley MacLaine, John McMartin, Sammy Davis, Jr., and Ricardo Montalban. Music & Lyrics by Cy Coleman & Dorothy Fields. Screenplay by Peter Stone (adapting the musical book by Neil Simon).
