Описание: In the age of electrification of public and private transportation, new design ideas and vehicle architectures can and need to be realized due to the change in priorly established principles and the new landscape of customer’s requirements and KPIs. The new propulsion and energy supply systems have a completely different set of boundary conditions to be followed, to achieve the most favorable trade-off between specifics such as weight, range, speed, space, comfort as well as software and user experience. This presents a whole new world of opportunities and disrupts the status quo. Now, principles that held true for the last decades need to be questioned and the challenge lies in the lack of experience and the interwoven and often times diametral solution landscape of the respective performance indicators.

One way to tackle the challenge is to explore the given freedom in design space and evaluate different design ideas and their implications on the systems performance quickly. For this multi-physic task, the need of virtual twin technology and collaboration between involved parties, namely modeling and simulation becomes evident.

Within part one of this short simpulse webinar series, we discuss how a seemingly trivial detail of a unified data model between modeling and simulation actually has a significant impact on both design and validation.
