Comprehensive remittance policy and regulatory diagnostics were recently completed for Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu. Led by the Pacific Digital Economy Programme (PDEP), the assessments examined the barriers, risks, and opportunities shaping remittance markets that are vital to household wellbeing, financial inclusion, and resilience.
This webinar shared key findings from the diagnostics and brought together regulators and industry experts to discuss how the Pacific can make remittances more affordable, accessible, and secure for communities across the region. PDEP is implemented by UN Capital Development Fund, UN Development Programme, and UN Trade and Development. The Programme is supported by the Governments of Australia, New Zealand and the European Union.
