As any rail historian knows, keeping a railroad operating in all seasons is a never-ending task. With Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum's right-of-way located on Portland's waterfront, and our Restoration Shop inland, we are tasked with keeping the railroad's spaces clear of snow and ice, even in the toughest of weather conditions.
We recently outfitted our Volvo front-end loader with a new BOSS 10-foot steel trip edge snow pusher, made possible through a partnership with Handyman Equipment Rental in Portland (located at 357 Riverside Street, Portland, Maine 04103).
