High-temperature material handling in the aluminium extrusion industry imposes special demands in terms of careful transport of sensitive products at high temperatures.
This animation shows a graphical overview of a run-out table in the aluminium industry and the downstream ageing process, how needle felt products are used and which temperature ranges are covered. Fibres that are used are PBO, para-aramid, peroxidised PAN, meta-aramid and, in the very cool areas, polyester.
