Описание: 18,000lb Alternator Falls off Trailer on Freeway! I have just two words for this video: LOAD SECUREMENT! Load securement is such a huge cause of so many of these big wrecks that we handle. Whether it's pallets not loaded correctly in a container that causes it to flip, or shifted loads, load securement is something that is too often overlooked.

In this case, the driver was transporting this huge alternator in a wooden crate when all of a sudden, it was no longer in the crate LOL. My guess is he had to panic stop, which caused the unsecured alternator to burst out of the flimsy wooden box and fall off the trailer onto live freeway lanes. Luckily, no one was injured. Could you imagine if a car ran into this at freeway speed or if it hit a motorcycle?

A regular flatbed from another company was called prior to us, and they could not do the job for obvious reasons. That's when CHP called us for a rotator to lift this back up and set it back onto the trailer. From there, it was properly chained down and almost double the time in waiting for payment.
