Описание:
The genesis for this poem came by a request from Karen Goodwin. She asked if I could give a toast for the Friends of St. Patrick celebrating Hawaii. I was thinking about my ancestors leaving Ireland in the 1840s and arriving on the east coast of the United States and wondered what it would have been like if they arrived in Hawaii instead. With some help from my wife polishing up the verbiage I arrived at this poem.
