OLX & PakWheels Online Car Fraud Busted | How Scammers Trap Buyers & Sellers in Pakistan

Описание: A major online fraud network operating through OLX and PakWheels has been exposed after police arrested a suspect involved in multiple high-value scams. The accused allegedly trapped both car buyers and original vehicle owners by posing as an intermediary and manipulating payments through third-party accounts.

Victims were convinced to transfer huge amounts — sometimes exceeding Rs. 1 Crore — after verifying vehicles physically, while the fraudster secretly redirected payments into his own accounts. The same criminal also used similar tactics to commit fraud involving jewelry businesses and online transactions.

According to police investigations, more than 29 FIRs were registered against the accused across Punjab, with fraud exceeding Rs. 1.5 Crore. Through technical surveillance, Safe City cameras, and financial tracing, law enforcement successfully arrested the suspect and recovered a significant portion of the stolen money.
