Good News and Bad News for the Volvo B9TL bus

2023 is the best year for the Volvo B9TL buses but also the sad year for the bus.

Good news: Recently SBS Transit started to refurbished their old Volvo B9TL Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 buses (batch 1). Not much of the difference except the shiny livery and a new "Stand Clear Of Doors" stickers. Many of these buses will be fully refurbished until the last one is finished (batch 2, 3 and 4)

Bad news: Recently Land Transport Authority was announced that all of the 22 remaining Volvo B9TL CDGE buses (with 2 training buses included) will be fully retired on September 2023. These buses were replaced by the MAN A95 Euro 6 and the Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 Euro 6 3-Door buses. Although there are other countries who have the same body as the CDGE, we are hoping to see at least one bus to be preserved.
