Panjshir Valley, the last stronghold of resistance to the Taliban, was captured by the armed group last week. The Taliban is now conducting search operations to find Ahmad Massoud’s men and their large stockpile of weapons. Taliban fighters have already found several containers of weapons from Soviet-era. According to some reports, these weapons were with the resistance forces since the war against Soviet occupation.
