Walk with me through this very picturesque fishing village of Portmahomack.
Located in Easter Ross in the Highlands of Scotland on the Tarbat Peninsula.
The village has a Primary school, golf course and a hotel. There is also a small shop and post office.
The nearest town is Tain which is 10 miles away and has many more facilities.
The village has approximately 500/600 residents.
There are two important historic buildings in the village called 'Girnals' (Storehouses). Built in the late 17th century overlooking the harbour. The two story 'Girnal' is the oldest such building to survive in Scotland.
I hope you enjoy the walk through the village. It is a stunning place to visit because of its sandy beach, it can get very busy in the Summer.
