Описание: Global Vipassana Pagoda - In a chaotic and congested city like Mumbai, it is hard to find a moment of peace. That's why the Global Vipassana Pagoda in Gorai village has become an important centre for meditation in Mumbai. the Pagoda is a meditation hall with a capacity to seat at least 8000 people. The 96 meters high stupa has been modelled after Myanmar's Shwedagon Pagoda. Inside, there's a giant dome which houses the relics of the Buddha. This happens to be the world's largest stone dome built without any supporting pillars. It is built using an ancient technique of interlocking stones. The height of this dome is approximately 29 meters. Under this dome lies the meditation hall which is completely hollow and exudes a sense of peace and calm like no other place in the city. The purpose of the pagoda is to share and spread information about Vipassana meditation, and Gautam Buddha, and his teachings.

Velankanni Beach - An isolated coastal location of Mumbai North Suburban is this less frequented beach at Uttan village of Bhayander station in North suburban. Uttan village located at 8 km from Bhayander Railway Station in West has this Uttan beach, Also called 'Uttan Virgin Beach. If you are a seafood lover, then this beach is a perfect place for day picnic and worth a night stay at resorts around.Locals staying near this beach also referred it as 'Velankanni beach' as the surrounding has this famous 'Velankanni Church', Vandan Gruha also called 'Our Lady of Velankanni Shrine'. Uttan Virgin beach is also a famous place of pilgrim due as the Mother Velankanni Church is very much visited by people especially coming from outside for same. A large statue of Mother Velankanni is installed which takes about 200 odd ladders which is totally worth as the aerial view of beach and uttan village is worth some clicks.

Gorai is one of the most frequented beaches of Mumbai north suburb. It major attracts citizens from Suburb and also from far for a day picnic. Couples prefers this beach due to easy accessibility from Bhayandar and Borivali and also lots of resorts, cottages available too. It is one of the safest and cleanest beaches with ample space to have fun with your picnic group, ride bikes, ride camel or go inside sea for a boat ride. Hang around at full moon nights (In Group Only) is romantic and so is one of the beach for night hangout as many resorts are available here.
