As I am publishing this, I am still in Sri Lanka. My editor has been great in rushing these along for me, and I can't thank Zain enough!

This is my first travel video. Even though I have a few that I have been working on from other trips in the past year, I am happy to get this one under my belt. This one ended being the first part of a city tour I did in #Colombo, #SriLanka, where we had to readjust a few things given the dramatic rainstorms the country is experiencing during what should be the dry season. While I have been to my fair share of temples in Asia over the years, the Gangaramaya Temple was truly unique. Part temple, museum/collection of Buddhas from around the world, counselling and vocational centre, and a focal point for monks and meditation, this complex in my mind could only really exist in Sri Lanka. Given the country's history, culture and diversity of faiths, the Temple is a reflection of how the country with its Buddhist majority (70% of population) embraces the various interpretations of this religion. Hence, I felt it warranted an exclusive video.

If ever in Colombo, I'd recommend you book off a minimum of a couple hours to take in this fascinating site.
