Shayṭān was not ignorant.
He knew Allah. He knew the truth. He knew the command.
Yet he said:
“I am better than him.”
That one sentence was not lack of knowledge — it was arrogance.
Today, many people also know the truth. They know prayer is obligatory. They know death is certain. They know accountability is real.
Yet they comfort themselves with:
“Everyone is doing it.”
“It’s my lifestyle.”
“Allah is Merciful.”
Majority approval does not change divine reality.
True intelligence in Islam is not strategy. It is preparing for what comes after death.
You can deceive yourself. You can gather supporters. But if a lifestyle is built on disobedience, approval will not change its outcome.
This reminder is not to condemn —
It is to wake hearts before it is too late.
May Allah grant us humility and true wisdom.
