Описание: We’re back on the dyno with Vin D, and if you remember the last session, things got interesting fast. This truck previously laid down 666 horsepower on a single turbo before lifting the head gasket. Instead of backing off, it was the perfect excuse to step things up with a Stage 2 ported hot street cylinder head on this 12 valve Cummins and see what real airflow gains actually translate to on the dyno.

In this video, we start by flow testing the stock 12 valve head at both low lift and high lift on the intake and exhaust side, then directly compare it to the Stage 2 ported head. The biggest takeaway isn’t just peak flow numbers, it’s the low lift gains where street driven diesel trucks actually operate. The ported head picks up serious airflow while still maintaining swirl, which is exactly what you want for drivability and power.

From there, we test five different exhaust manifolds to show how much a restrictive manifold can completely choke a good cylinder head. You’ll see how the stock manifold, three piece, T3 Steed, T6 Comp, and Steed 3000 all affect exhaust flow and why manifold choice matters way more than most people think.

Once the data is in, it’s time for judgment day. Vin D goes back on the dyno and absolutely rips, laying down 739 horsepower and nearly 1,500 lb ft of torque on a single turbo street setup. Even more impressive, boost pressure drops while power climbs, proving the engine is simply moving more air more efficiently.

We also clean up the tune to show what a realistic street friendly setup looks like, landing right back at the previous power level with better pull, more RPM carry, and a much wider usable powerband. If you care about ported heads, exhaust manifolds, airflow, and making real power on a 12 valve Cummins without turning it into a full race truck, this one’s worth watching start to finish.
