In Lalmonirhat and Aditmari, Bangladesh, 63 women are combining community health outreach with entrepreneurship. Lata Debi started her business with just 3,000 taka and now sells more than 50 health and hygiene products across four villages.
Through Max Foundation’s Healthy Village Urban (HVU) programme, women are trained as Health Promotion Agents — linking health education, sanitation access, and local market development.
This video shares how small investments, structured training, and organised networks are strengthening child health, hygiene practices, and household incomes in rural Bangladesh.
