After the busy Christmas period, Assisi animal sanctuary is full to capacity with animals from as young as nine-weeks-old.
Lucy Green from Assisi, said: “We would take quite a lot of dogs in from the pound across Northern Ireland, and this month, in particular, we’ve been lifting a lot of them, the pounds are full, they are bursting so we are just trying to help.”
Assisi currently have dogs and pups, “Ranging from small terrier crosses to lab crosses, we have a litter of cavalier terrier puppies and we have lurcher puppies”, added Lucy from Assisi.
