Описание: since this is a valley you totally need sunshine when coming here and also need to come earlier than when I went I think I got there around 11:00 a.m.. The sun moves fast and if it goes behind the surrounding mountains there will be shadow in the valley and the landscape isn't as beautiful anymore! The autumn leaves really need sunshine to sparkle and bring the color to value. actually I went one day earlier and it was cloudy and totally waste of time. The descent in the valley is not so difficult because they have nice stairs. it looks very long but I was down in less than 10 minutes pushing all people away 😂 . and then the stroll along the gorge is very easy and pleasant through the forest. you will see it or call the water standing cliffs and wonderful autumn foliage. I was there on November 18 2024. Two days later they had snow so it was really a wonderful last chance. Easy to get here from Kinugawa Onsen Hot spring town and Nikko. The closest train station is Ryuou. If you can stay overnight definitely combine it with a visit to Nikko Edo Mura Village amusement park with samurai ninja and geisha, oiran even!
