💫 After the spiritual peak of the Ten Commandments, God immediately descends to civil and criminal details in "Mishpatim" (Judgments). This transition is not coincidental, but a divine message: you cannot reach God without respecting human rights. Midrash Rabbah teaches us that the Torah is like a noble lady (Matron) walking in the street, and the civil laws are the guards surrounding her from front and back - one cannot touch the holiness of Torah with hands stained by injustice to humanity.

💫 The Midrash tells the parable of the palace: The world does not stand only on Torah (study) or worship (prayer), but needs the third pillar - justice and acts of kindness. Shimon the Righteous taught: "The world stands on three things: on Torah, on divine service, and on acts of kindness" (Avot 1:2). If the pillar of justice falls, the roof of the entire universe collapses. That's why God began the law with "the Hebrew slave" - to remind them that they were slaves in Egypt, so their first test in freedom is: How will you treat those who have lost their freedom?

📖 Exodus 21:2
«If you buy a Hebrew servant, he shall serve six years; and in the seventh he shall go out free and pay nothing» - Exodus 21:2
God linked the slave's service to the six days of creation: six years of work, and the seventh is freedom - to restore the human dignity that God created in the beginning. This is not just an economic law, but the theology of creation: humans were created free in God's image, and slavery is a temporary state that must end ☩
