When it comes to mass flow measurement of abrasive fluids using a Coriolis bent tube meter, there are critical challenges which can result in a shorter meter lifetime. Two possible weak spots in a bent tube are the inlet spigots and the tube bends. Abrasive fluids impact the pipe wall and erode the material. The result: the meter has to be changed sooner. This challenge can easily be resolved by using the OPTIMASS 7400 with a straight tube made of Titanium. This tube improves significantly the quality and increases the lifespan of the flowmeter. Optional transition pieces protect the leading edges of the measuring tube.
