Some months later, IronMind’s Randall Strossen was on site in the Bulgarian Weightlifting Federation’s training hall and captured Vanev cleaning 210 kg five times, only to miss the jerk each time—all under the watchful eye of fabled coach Ivan Abadjiev. By the way, about a week later, Vanev won the World Weightlifting Championships.
