Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has addressed allegations regarding his past meetings with Jeffrey Epstein, providing details about the nature of their interactions. Speaking at a recent press briefing, Puri stated that he met Epstein only a few times as part of an official delegation and maintained that the interactions were strictly professional, linked to events at the International Peace Institute (IPI).

The issue gained attention after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi referred to Puri in Parliament, questioning the context of those meetings. In response, Puri dismissed the claims, asserting that he met Epstein three or four times over several years and that the meetings had no connection to Epstein’s later criminal charges.

He further clarified that his involvement was limited to multilateral discussions through IPI and described the political accusations as “baseless.”
