*PRE ARRIVAL* Working Structure Fire - VCFD 36s Area

At 2:26 PM on November 5th, 2022, VCFD received a report of a structure fire on 247 Satinwood Avenue. VCFD Medic Engine 36 reported seeing smoke from their station and continued the assignment. By pure luck 2 off duty firefighters living in the neighborhood happened to see smoke and rushed over to help the fire, one performing a 360 of the fire and the other helping to secure a water supply for 36. The fire was deemed the Satin IC and was marked as a working attic fire. ME37 arrived as the second due engine and supported fire attack with 36. VCFD Battalion 14 arrived and took command of the incident, leaving ME36 on fire attack. The fire was swiftly knocked down, and most units cleared shortly after. ME36 remained on scene for several hours after with investigators to try to find the cause of the fire, which remains uncertain. A big thank you to the 2 samaritans who helped out. The fire thankfully resulted in no major injuries, with only the homeowner being transported for smoke inhalation.
