In today’s lawn transformation, we set out to clean up an abandoned and overgrown property that had been sitting untouched for a long time. The grass was out of control and the yard needed some serious attention.
Partway through the job, a neighbor came over and asked us to leave the property while we were in the middle of cutting. We stopped and had a conversation with her to explain what we were doing and why we were trying to clean up the yard.
After talking it through, she understood our mission of helping improve the community and gave us permission to stay and finish the cleanup. What started as a tense moment turned into a positive interaction and another transformation for the neighborhood.
Our goal with The Kazi Brothers is to help communities by cleaning up overgrown and abandoned properties for free whenever we can.
